There are many applications for Hastelloy C2000 butt weld fittings. These fittings are made from nickel, chrome, and molybdenum alloys. It is available in wrought form at the mill level and has a high degree of metallurgical stability in reducing and oxidizing environments. It is also used in chemical process equipment applications.

For shielded metal arc welding, Hastelloy Alloy C2000 Pipe Fittings are preferred over other pipe fittings. As a result, when cold working parts of Hastelloy C2000 Buttweld Fittings are to be reannealed (following an outer fiber elongation of more than 7%), it is important to do this in order to achieve the best corrosion performance. In addition to reactors and heat exchangers, Hastelloy C2000 Buttweld Elbow Fittings are most commonly used in chemical process industries (CPI). In order to test the thermal stability properties of Hastelloy C2000 Buttweld Tee Fittings, the material must be sensitized to 871 degrees C and then subjected to ASTM tests. Hastelloy C2000 Cross Pipe Fittings are ideal for applications such as waste incinerators, boilers, and high-temperature reaction vessels, where aggressive environments are encountered. As a general rule, Hastelloy C2000 Bend Pipe Fittings do not require a post-weld heat treatment, however, if stress relief is required, a full solution anneal at 1149 degrees Celsius (2100 degrees Fahrenheit) is recommended, followed by water quenching to relieve the stress.
