An austenitic stainless steel alloy of 309 is non-magnetic under annealed conditions and is a non-magnetic alloy of stainless steel. The magnetic properties of this material are enhanced when it is cold worked. You can use it in a variety of ways. Due to its greater ductility and ease of welding, T309 is commonly used for several deep drawn, formed parts because it is easy to weld. As a result, it is highly resistant to oxidation on a temperature range of 899 degrees Celsius. During intermittent presentations, the temperature can reach a maximum temperature of 816 degrees Celsius at times.

It is an as-welded version of SS 309 that contains a low carbon content, so it can resist tough corrosive conditions just like SS 309. As well as being able to be welded using all standard techniques, 309L has excellent welding properties. As a result of severe forming/spinning, welding may be followed by an annealing process in order to relieve stress build-up.

A higher proportion of carbon is found in the alloy 309H than in SS. The steel is suitable for applications that require a higher temperature to be achieved. As far as yielding and tensile strength are concerned, this alloy has been found to have very good properties.
